Techniques & Color for Beginners
Spend a full weekend diving into the luminous world of enameling. This small, hands-on intensive is designed for true beginners who want to build skills quickly and leave with beautiful finished pieces.
With only two students, you’ll get tons of personal guidance as you learn how to work with enamel on copper from start to finish.
Over two immersive days, you’ll explore:
-
Preparing and firing copper for enamel
-
Sifting, wet packing, and layering color
-
Blending and controlling color reactions
-
Using transparents and opaques for depth
-
Surface techniques for pattern and texture
-
Finishing your pieces for jewelry or small artworks
We’ll focus on both technical foundations and color play, so you gain confidence while developing your own style.
By the end of the weekend, you’ll have completed several enameled pieces and the skills to continue working on your own.
