Cloisonne Rectangle Necklace - Cherry Blossom

One of a kind Cloisonné Enamel Necklace is small but beautiful. Enamel work is done on fine silver for clarity and brightness of color. The rest of the piece is made of sterling silver. The color pallet in this piece is called Cherry Blossom. The necklace is 17.5 inches long with the enamel being 1 inch in length.

The technique that I use is called Cloisonné Enamel. Each piece of jewelry is created using fine silver, sterling silver and fine ground glass powder. The glass powder is  applied to the fine silver with a tiny paintbrush. Each layer of glass is then heated in a kiln to melt the glass powder and have it become one with the silver that is behind it, this is done multiple times. While the frames for each piece may look similar the glass enamel artwork within every piece is unique just like their collector.

I like to think that each and every piece that I make can be worn to accent elegant party dress or for everyday wear.
