Hoop Earrings (Cherry Blossom)
These hoop earrings are so much fun to wear as they move and sway with each turn of the head. They are made in a color palette I call cherry blossom and match well with all the pieces in the cherry blossom collection. They measure 1 1/8 “ in diameter and hang 1 ¾ ‘ with the leverback ear wires as shown but can easily be swapped out for a post style if you prefer which will make them a bit shorter.
The technique that I use is called Cloisonné Enamel. Each piece of jewelry is created using fine silver, sterling silver and fine ground glass powder. The glass powder is applied to the fine silver with a tiny paintbrush. Each layer of glass is then heated in a kiln to melt the glass powder and have it become one with the silver that is behind it, this is done multiple times. While the frames for each piece may look similar the glass enamel artwork within every piece is unique just like their collector.
